Hello Go Rounds

Friday, July 31, 2009

Hello, Hello!! The weekend is nearly here--- and there's lots of fun on the farm! The Big BIRTHDAY Bash is on Saturday, prizes, blog hop, and lots of fun! Here is my take on the Birthday Anya set that debuted on the Club Anya blog this week. Isn't she just absolutely adorable!! (I love the matching paper as well!!)

The real "STAR" today is the new HELLO GO ROUNDS sentiment set, which has 6 super fun sentiments. They fit perfectly in a 1 3/8 circle punch and I added some Spellbinders shapes to add some extra interest.
I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with and I hope to "see" lots of you on Saturday for the blog hop!

In addition to the TGF blog hop Birthday Party Celebration-- I have tons of peeks coming from All That Scraps (If you jump around on my design team blog roll, you can see lots of new stuff! I'll be back this weekend with my own samples!

Thanks for stopping by!

Meet a new Wild Sprout-- Megan!!

Thursday, July 30, 2009

Check out the sassy, hand on her waist, new Wild Sprout--- Megan! This will be my daughter in a few years, I can guarantee. At almost 2, she already has the attitude, just not the big hair!! :) I'm waiting for that to come though!

I felt the need to make Megan extra sassy with some pink hair and a fun paper pieced coordinating shirt with the background paper. And CHECK OUT the new Martha Stewart Loopy Loop Punches!! FUN aren't they!! I found them at Michael's (and All That Scraps carries some as well!) I couldn't resist the loops-- so I bought the corner accent and the border punch! Totally love em both! :)
The Sentiment is from Jessica's Whimsical Greetings set released earlier this month!

Don't forget that Saturday will be a big ol' celebration blog hop for The Greeting Farm--- I plan to hop all over and check out everyone's blog! Plus there are always fun opportunities to win things... so keep your eye out! :)

Thanks for stopping by and go check out the other new Wild Sprout, Bree, at The Greeting Farm Splendid Stamping blog!

Angel Ballerina - CDS Peeks Day 2

Wednesday, July 29, 2009

Another peek at new stamps from Clear Dollar Stamps tonight! All of these will be available on August 1st and be sure to jump around the next few days to see all of the other new releases previewing in blog land! :)

The set I have today is "Angel Ballerina"--- she's sweet and graceful holding her ballet position. I had a chance on this first card to use my polka dot frame... I didn't realize that you have to use an abnormal card size to fit those--- a little bigger than my normal cards, but it was worth it for this fun look.

I made the frame with white paper and then stenciled the brown dots. After I was done, I went back over it with creamy caramel ink to tone it down a bit.

Clear Dollar Stamps Previews!!

Monday, July 27, 2009

Sneak previews for CDS start today and there are TWO super cute sets that I get to debut. First up is a fun new set from Kim Teasdale called "Bitty Bots"!! They make the perfect boy cards and I have tons of fun paper to coordinate with robots!!

I loved the reverse scallops for this first card--it matches the brain waves on the robot and the Cosmo paper has been sitting on my shelf just waiting for this set!
I also had a DCWV All Boy stack of paper that I found with the fun robot paper below--- There are tons of cute sayings in "Bitty Bots", but this one cracked me up when you pair it with the bolts and wrench in the set that come with it.

Next up is a fun teen set designed by Laurie and it's the new CHARLIE set for the month. This is "Charlie Tweens" and there is a Charliene in the set to boot!
I used Junebug Basic grey paper, which I thought had a great look for a boy card (it reminds me of back to school time). There are a few different sentiments in the set that you can fit into Charlie or Charliene's T-shirt--- which I had fun with.

The next card I made with this set is the Charliene stamp and I used the Lemonade Basic Grey paper for this one. I paper pieced the outfit and used some flowery accents to finish it off.

Farm Fresh SECRET!

Friday, July 24, 2009

Oh my goodness--- when my design team package arrived for The Greeting Farm this month, I was literally jumping up and down. (Like to the point my kids thought I was a little odd.) There will be all SORTS of excitement to come and we get to give you a special preview sneak peek TODAY with a brand new Miss Anya set called Miss Anya DRESSY.

Isn't she precious with her fancy little dress and demure little face! Take a look at the TGF blog for a glance at the other girls in the set!

The Farm Fresh Friday challenge is also today and if you play along, you can have a chance to win a brand new Miss Anya Dressy set all for yourself!! The challenge was to use a flower and Butterfly on your card--- well I actually had written it down wrong and thought it was RIBBON and a butterfly, so pretend there is a fun flower on here! (I thought about going back in and adding flower brads for her shoes, but I couldn't find any small enough!

Paper: K&Co DP and Coredinations cardstock, SU Kiwi Kiss
Accessores: SU Butterfly Sizzix dies, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, Basic Grey pearls, Spellbinders Polka Dot Frame (which I sponged with Walnut distress ink on top of the DP), Spellbinders Label die

Thanks for dropping by!! More to come!!

The Sky's the Limit

Wednesday, July 22, 2009

Hi everyone! Just a quick post tonight... I made this fun card with my "Fly Away" set from The Greeting Farm.

The paper is from Cosmo Cricket and I used my secret stash of Cool Caribbean SU paper (retired) and Groovy Guava Ribbon (retired).

I'm working on a ton of stuff for sneak peeks coming up and just wait until you see all of the fun new sets! TGF previews start on Friday.... and then more the following week.

See ya back here soon!

Amy R's SHINY Butterflies

Monday, July 20, 2009

Hi blog friends! I meant to get this posted yesterday, but we had a busy weekend and I didn't get the computer time!

I was the first response to the playhouse that I wanted to get on Craig's List, so we picked up the Barbie Party Playhouse from a family on Saturday and the kids have been having a BLAST in it! (It's SO cute and pink!) The boys don't mind the color since there are so many fun parts to it... and I'll take pictures and post them later this week. I'm hoping I can find a few more Craig's list bargains like that!

So on to my card! This was another beautiful butterfly set that I got to play with this month. This one is an AMY R STAMPS set called Butterflies, available at All That Scraps.

You can tell from the close up, I "shined" this baby up!! I used this embossing powder with flecks of opaque shine-- I think it's something like "marcasite" in the name, but it's two floors away right now, so I'm not going to go check!! It's pretty and sparkly-- that's what I know for sure! :)

I used two of the new SU papers on this, "Dusty Durango" and "Crushed Curry". After embossing, I added color with an aquabrush and ink pad lids. The paper was a Basic Grey pack that I had on hand and it was perfect for Amy's set!

I better head to bed... hopefully the week goes by quickly--- FIFTEEN days to go at work! :)

Farm Fresh Friday - Butterfly Wishes

Saturday, July 18, 2009

Happy Friday everyone! (Well technically Saturday morning, it's late!)

Farm Fresh Friday is over at The Greeting Farm site and the challenge this week is a sketch challenge.
The sentiments in Jessica's set are just beautiful and I was excited to use this one with my Stampin Up Butterfly die and Martha Stewart Butterfly punch. It was the perfect accent for the sentiment.
I also just received my Spellbinders eyelet border dies to use on the edge of the card and I just LOVE them--- I bought those, as well as Fleur De Lis and I can't wait to show you that one as well! The paper that I used is from the June Bug" Basic Grey pack--- Lots of polka dots!!
To create the sentiment, I used the Curved Rectangles Nestabilities dies and then sponged them with YoYo Yellow on the inside and used Pumpkin Pie on the outer edge. I thought it gave it a warm, sun-like feel.
The weekend is here and I'm hoping to find some deals on craig's list this weekend for a playhouse for our yard that my kids and the daycare kids can play with. I emailed about a post tonight, so hopefully I hear from them in the morning... it was SUPER cute!
Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back tomorrow with a sample for the Review Preview of Amy R's set "Butterflies" at All That Scraps! It's a butterfly crazy month!!

2nd post today - Peace and Love Man!!

Wednesday, July 15, 2009

Hee-Hee--- I LOVE this new Anya and knew that my basic grey Lime Rickey paper was going to be a perfect fit for HIPPIE ANYA!! She's available NOW and is a LIMITED EDITION stamp! I'm still regretting missing out on Elf Anya-- so if you want this cutie-- get her now!
I knew I needed fun colors for this and the flower nesties were a great match as well! I found this brad in a valentine box of hearts and it fit the bill for an accent on the ribbon. Don't forget about the farmer's market on Marie's blog today!! Stop by and check it out!

Stop by CLUB ANYA to see more fantastic samples!!

Chasing Butterflies

Hey all-- This will be the first of two posts tonight. I missed last weeks ATS Challenge, but this week, one of our design team buddies came up with fun sketch that I HAD to give a try! The sketch will be posted on the ATS blog later today. For my card, I used the adorable Itzie Inkies set called Chasing Butterflies. I hadn't made anything with the butterflies or fox, and isn't he a cutie pie!! The butterflies were just what I needed to finish the sketch as well!
Don't forget that the monthly guest designers are chosen from participants in the weekly challenges--- so play along and you could design along with us for a month!!

Thanks-- and stop back for a peek at another new ANYA stamp!!

New Anya and New TGF Paper

Monday, July 13, 2009

More Greeting Farm fun for you today!! At Club Anya, the premier today is Navajo Anya!! She reminds me of Pocahantas and she is oh so pretty!! Make you check out the Club Anya blog to see more samples from the Club Anya design team--- there are some GORGEOUS cards and fabulous ideas over there!!

For my card, I used the new paper pack at The Greeting Farm called "Dirty Rodeo"! I love the colors and fun patterns in the pack and the character paper with the little cowboys are just the cutest! All of the colors in my Anya were taken from the paper and I added some fun Candy Dots as accents on the corners.

I need to get to bed--- but I'll be back tomorrow night with more fun stuff! :)

A new Ian in town...

Sunday, July 12, 2009

Ay Laddie.... It's a new Ian--- Meet "Laddie Ian" in his cute (oh sorry, Handsome!) Scottish kilt. He premiered on the Club Anya blog today, so I made up a card for his debut.

The sentiment is from Jessica's new set "Butterfly Wishes"-- available at The Greeting Farm.

I had a chance to use some of the new Stampin' Up colors (and new SU punch) on this card, tied in with an MME plaid paper. LOVE the new SU colors released!!

Back to work tomorrow---- just a few weeks and then I'll be home for good! :) YAY!

Thanks for dropping by! Have a great Monday!

Whipper Snapper Christmas in July

Saturday, July 11, 2009

Just a quick post tonight--- Busy, Busy with summer fun stuff! One of my design team buddies had a Christmas in July post-- so I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon and post a couple of cards I made for Whipper Snapper with new Fall/Winter Images. PLUS-- You get a two-fer!
I used the same layout for both cards and just swapped out the colors--- the first less traditional for Christmas and the second with the standard red/green.
Images: Whipper Snapper Bentley and Sanders
Sentiments from Anna Wight cling set: Cozy Critters
More stamping time tomorrow--- well, as long as the kids are behaving!! Parker has been having some issues with that request this week-- I think the attention that little Kade has been getting over his sore eyes is causing some jealousy!! I had to repeat the mantra "He's just a little boy, He's just a little boy" several times today through the tongue out snottiness and mouth-backs that I was getting from him. Ugh--- I SO hope he's just getting this out of his system and will be a nice, sweet teenager!! Unfortunately--- I know it will just get worse! I'm in for it!

Have a wonderful Sunday!!

The Buzz on my Birthday!

Okay--- so now that the fun of presents is over... I finally was able to get my Bumble B. Bear card posted (a new set at All That Scraps in the Cookie Crumbs line by Diane Zechman!) He is just the cutest and I used four of the stamps in this huge set on this one card.

The sentiments are fabulous for not only the adorable images in this set, but several of my other "bee" stamps as well. Totally love em'!

Well my birthday is officially over, but I had a great day. A wonderful lunch with some friends and coworkers, I met one of the new families that will be coming to my daycare (an adorable set of boy/girl twin 4 yr olds!) , my husband and kids got me a shiny new pink Ipod Nano, and my parents took me out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse (and THEY paid!) No cooking or dishes all day!! Now THAT'S a birthday! :)

I finished around four cards tonight--- so it's 4am and I have GOT to get to bed! Eeek... morning is ... well really... it's right now! Oops! Have a great day and Thanks for popping in!!

Let's celebrate!!

Thursday, July 9, 2009

Hi Everyone!!! I've done pretty much NO "new" stamping this week... ugh!! But I'm hoping to get some stuff done tomorrow with some "me time" for my birthday!!! Yep... I turn a new number tomorrow!! Good thing I never remember my age!

To celebrate--- How about some blog candy!! Thank you to all of you, my wonderful blog friends for your daily encouragement and kindness!! I have a pile of some random fun stuff that I took a picture of, and I'll also throw in some extras!

Just leave me a comment to be eligible to win and I'll draw a winner on Saturday morning (U.S. CST) Any comment is fine, but if you need an idea of what to comment on... Since I haven't been stamp shopping lately and may have a little birthday money -- what's a new must-have product that I should be looking for--- any fun new papers, accessories, embellishments, storage item?!?
While I'm here... How about another new Whipper Snapper image for some eye candy as well!!
Isn't he cute with his little top hat!! I love the Whipper Snapper mice!
Image is called "Hats off to You" and sentiment is from Anna Wight's "Sweet Expressions" set!
Red Lobster lunch scheduled with some friends tomorrow and then I'll spend the night with the family! Not sure what the plan is, but I'm sure we'll come up with something!

Whipper Snapper Releases!

Monday, July 6, 2009

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of over 175 new image releases from Whipper Snapper Designs and I have to tell you, my wish list for stamps is HUGE!! All of them became available on July 1st--- So make sure you go check out the website to see what all the fuss is about!! It's worth fussing about, trust me!!

So many adorable new animals, sentiments, and more. I'll be posting a handful of samples over the next few weeks--- and I know you'll fall in love with all of them as much as I did!

This is Rhapsody and Sonata--- along with a sentiment from Anna Wight's cling set, "Love at Home".

All That Scraps releases are also up tonight and winners of the free sets are announced on the blog!! I still didn't get my Cookie Crumbs bear card finished, so tomorrow after we get back from Kaiden's surgery, I'll work on it if he's resting comfortably! Thanks for the well wishes and hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with a little boy who had a successful eye surgery and no complications!

Thanks for stopping!

Underwater Birthday Fishes...

Sunday, July 5, 2009

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July! We had a great long weekend and accomplished a lot. Our garage is the cleanest and most organized that I've ever seen. It was a huge task, but over the course of the weekend, we have it looking great. Next weekend's project: the swingset! Can we accomplish two big projects within a week!?!

I missed a couple of days of sneak peeks for ATS, Underwater Emma from C.C. Designs and the matching AmyR sentiments set "Underwater Sentiments". I also missed Diane's Cookie Crumbs Bumble B. Bear set... so I'll have that card for you tomorrow in time for the All That Scraps Release Party--- Join us at 8:00 ET on the ATS forum for more card samples, chatter, and enabling!! :)

I am off work the next two days for Kaiden's eye surgery. I'll also be home with him Wednesday-Friday... and I'm crossing my fingers that everything goes well. After 2 years of appointments at the University of Iowa, it's time for his Strabismus surgery to correct his eye crossing. It's really obvious when he's tired... but they end up going into each eye and make adjustments to the muscles. It's not supposed to be painful, but he will be put under anestheia and that's always scary!!

Tomorrow is just pre-op day and then surgery is on Tuesday, so I'll be online Monday night for the release party and some distraction!!

I hope you like my Underwater Emma card... this set and Amy's matching sentiments are just adorable-- I loved the colors of this paper for an Underwater card--- and this sentiment was my favorite!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:
Stamps - Underwater Emma and AmyR's Underwater Sentiments
Paper - Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Prima Marketing striped DP
Accessories - sewing Machine, Swiss Dots CB Folder, EK Success Wavy Dots border punch,m Peony and circle Spellbinders Nestabilities, Black EP from SU, Copics, Jolee's Boutique charm, SU Silver twine, SU Orange Grosgrain Ribbon, Copic Airbrush

Farm Fresh Friday

Saturday, July 4, 2009

I made this card for Farm Fresh Friday (although it's after midnight now that I got home from fireworks!) ---- Here is my first card with Edward--- Isn't he FABULOUS!! I saw the sketch and knew I had Rockstar DCWV paper that would be perfect! Stop by the TGF blog to see more samples of the sketch and play along for your chance to win a FREE set!!

I'll be back tomorrow with ATS cards-- I made one for the sneak peek of Underwater sentiments tonight, but I had an image on there that wasn't "peeked" yet!! You'll love the new sets!!

Hope everyone has a safe July 4th--- we will spend the day at home and then head to a smaller town nearby for fireworks again. We worked on reorganizing our garage today--- and the quest will continue in the morning! :)

Goodnight all!

Day 3 of peeks and ATS Patriotic Challenge

Thursday, July 2, 2009

Thanks to everyone who participated in the blog hop yesterday---I appreciated all the comments and a winner will be announced on the TGF blog tomorrow!

I made it official today and will be a SAHM and daycare provider starting in August! My kids are really excited and so am I. I'm sure there will be frustrating days, but I'm excited about the new start. Thanks for the encouragement!! I certainly appreciate it!

So on to the stamping...

I wanted to get my card posted for the Wednesday ATS challenge, which was to make a Patriotic card. I, along with several of the other DT gals, used Christine's new Kiki digital image. She's just adorable and I hope to see more Kiki's in the future--- hopefully in stamp form! :) (HINT, HINT Christine!) :)

It's also day two of sneak peeks at ATS, and today's set is a new Amy R set called Amy R Butterflies! It's a HUGE set of butterflies and sentiments--- and it makes gorgeous cards easily! I just "Rock and Rolled" this butterfly, first stamping with Cameo Coral and then touching the edges to Chocolate Chip to match the DCWV paper. I can't wait to see the other creations with this set today!

I'm exhausted and ready for bed--- so thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow for Day 3 of peeks!!

Needless to say, I squealed--literally "squealed" out loud, when I saw that stamp!! You'll have to stop back later this week to see the card I've made with him!!

Jessica, our new TGF team leader designed her first set, Butterfly Wishes, and you'll see me using that set lots this month! The fonts are so much fun and there are sentiments that fit almost any situation.

The set I used on my card today cracked me up--This set is "FLY AWAY". I loved the sentiment, "Anything is Possible" with the "Pig flying" -- Totally cute and so much fun to color.

Chase your dreams! - ATS Sneak Peeks Day One

Hey everyone!! I have a ton going on today-- more than I even want to think about right this second--- but I'm excited to show you the first day of sneak peeks for All That Scraps. (Make sure you check both posts today as it's a big day for TGF as well with a fun BLOG HOP coming up later today!)

There is a new line up of characters this month at ATS and a new artist being introduced, Diem Pascarella. This cutie-patootie little kitty is from a new set called "Chasing Butterflies". Isn't she just adorable!?!! Diem will be designing some adorable animal sets and they will be available as singles or as a set. Make sure you drop by the ATS blog for your chance to win a set for yourself!
I felt like she just "needed" to be pink--- so I found this MME paper and went for it! I finally was able to use my Stampin' Up Butterfly Big Shot dies and I embossed the smallest size butterfly with the Cuttlebug swirls folder and added some gelly gems. I think it turned out super cute with the trail of baubles following behind.

So part of my BIG DAY today is that I'm making a big life decision official and I'll be giving notice to the company I've worked with for nearly 13 years. I'm going to be staying home with my 3 kids and doing daycare out of my home starting in August. BIG life change, but I thought this card was very appropriate as the biggest dream I've had in life is being a mom and being able to stay home with my kids. I've "done" the career, travel, crazy work hours life and I'm excited about the opportunity to be home with snacks on the table when my kids come home from school and actually be home to potty train and spend time with my baby girl while she's still my "baby"!

Wish me luck!
