MOKA TABITHA!  I so, so LOVE the Moka's and this one is no exception.

Moka Tabitha is perfect for all the Halloween fans, it just doesn’t get cuter than this gal! The Moka line is by Nancy McKinney and comes on a 3" x 5.5" full color sturdy storage panel - this set has 5 images/sentiments.    Before I show you the full card, I had to share this close up so you can see how absolutely adorable she is.  The little bats and sentiment are also included.

So HOW CUTE is she!?!  Here is my full card featuring papers from the Halloween Project Pantry that we featured yesterday and I also took the skull stamp from the Moka Tabitha set and made a little glossy accented bauble to decorate the treat box.  The bottom of the box is decorated with the spooky fence border.   The spider web paper is cut out using the LARGE SCALLOP BORDER die and the ribbon is from the Project Pantry Kit.  I had so much fun coloring this little cutie!!

Here's who is playing along today-- I can't wait to see what Halloween/Fall goodness they came up with!
Thanks for stopping in!!

We’ll be featuring Toil & Trouble, Fangtastic, Spooky Impression Plate, Spooky Fence Border, and Halloween Project Pantry today--- LOTS OF Halloween FUN!!

My project is for Toil & Trouble!!  I created a fun little trio of gifts.  A "Brain Ball" hang tag for my brain popcorn ball! :)  (I LOVE Jello Popcorn balls!!)  A Witch Stick tote box using papers from the Halloween Kit and then a little mini-card with the candelabra image from Toil & Trouble.

Toil & Trouble is a super cute Halloween décor set, it works great for decorating the Apothecary Shelf too!  You'll see that on several of the gals cards!  It's adorable~~ Everything that would be inside a haunted house, or maybe in a mad scientist's lab!   Sentiments from this set are the same as in FANGTASTIC, so they work together and are interchangeable. Whimsical Wishes is by Nancy McKinney and it's a full sized set on a 5.75" x 8.5" full color sturdy storage panel - includes 25 images/sentiments

Here is a little info on the Project Pantry this month... the papers are so much fun!!

Taylor is doing something a little different this month with the Project Pantry.  As you know, the idea behind the Project Pantry is that when you want to bake up a yummy dessert you head to your pantry for the ingredients.  When you want to create a sweet papercrafting project, you can head to our Project Pantry for all the coordinating elements.  We've found that some of the best cake and cookie recipes are the ones based around a basic batter or dough recipe with lots of options to spice it up according to your tastes.  This month we are offering our Basic Recipe Kit along with optional Spice It Up Ingredients that you can pick and choose from to build the kit just the way you want it.
The Spooky Project Pantry Basic Recipe Kit is $11.95 and includes:
Echo Park Apothecary Emporium 6x6 pad
10 sheets of 8.5" x 11" cardstock in coordinating colors
6 yards of ribbon (2 yards each of 3 different styles)

Optional Spice it Up Ingredients (choose any or all) are:
Black Sparkly Fluff
Black/White Enamel Accents
Orange Rhinestones
Black Pearls
Halloween Button Assortment
Spooky Cardstock Pack
Spooky Ribbon Bundle

When you go to the Spooky Project Pantry in the store you will see the optional items linked under the Basic Recipe kit, so you can pick and choose what you'd like to add to your cart.  We know you'll have fun customizing your kit!

Monday-Thursday: Baker's Dozen minus Karen Motz... plus Jen Shults and Jami!

So today we are featuring Build a Treat, Build a Treat Borders, Birthday A la Carte, Sweet Party and the coordinating dies. Lots of birthday fun in store for today!  As a reminder, TE stamps are made from top-quality deeply etched rubber in a cute shade of pink and come on EZ Mount already trimmed and ready to used with your acrylic blocks.

The first set that I am showing is the single image stamp: "It’s Your Birthday A la Carte" – another new Word A la Cartes to add to your collection! This is perfect for those last minute birthday cards and it's illustrated for the Whimsical Wishes line by Nancy McKinney. Another big bonus - It's only $5.95!!

I made a long card using papers from MME Lime Twist - Fly a Kite.  I stamped and then cut out the image from a long rectangle Spellbinders Nestabilities die and then while still in the die, I used 5 copic colors to airbrush the background in a way similar to those multicolored kaliedoscope inks.  I used a colorless blender to pull the color out of the lettering, so it appears almost white.  Then for a little framing action, I used two cut out pennant border dies to hang over the image.

Next, I made a really fun and bright birthday card with the new set concepted by Sankari Wegman called Build A Treat.  This set has a ton of different ways to build your own treats and borders... like build a bear, but with cupcakes and ice cream!!  It was illustrated for Whimsical Wishes by Nancy McKinney and there is also a companion set - Build a Treat Borders!  Both sets have coordinating dies for even more creative fun!  I used the Build a Treat Borders dies for the row of ice cream cones on the bottom.  These are full sized sets on a 5.75" x 8.5" full color sturdy storage panel - Build a Treat includes 30 images and sentiments to build the treats of your dreams.  Build a Treat Borders includes 5 borders - each approximately 6" long with options for both coloring and solid stamping.  Serious cuteness here!!

There are also two other coordinating dies -- Build a Treat Tops and Bottoms - which has 10 dies to cut out the images from the stamp set and Tiny Topper Taylored Dies-- which are 6 adorable shapes for year round fun!!

I just stamped the top of my cone on a post-it--- cut it out and started from the top, covering what I previously stamped all the way down the line to build my perfectly stacked cone!  (There's even a mint chocolate chip in there!) --- It's covered with glossy accents and so there is a fun shine to the whole cone! Papers are all from MME Lime Twist - Life of the Party!

Now let's join the rest of the party and see what they've been up to!  Here's the Baker's Dozen minus Karen Motz (while she moves!)... plus Jen Shults and Jami!

TCPTUES171 and 172 - Inspired with Felt

Friday, August 19, 2011

Hey everyone!  School is starting next week and I'm SO excited to get back to stamping more often.  I somehow got sucked into being on the PTA board as the co-president over the summer, so prepping for registration, running the summer fundraiser, getting ready for school open house, etc... has been sucking every spare moment in-between my photo shoots.  As sad as I am to know that my baby will be at school 3 days a week for preschool, I'm also excited to have some time with no kids to stamp, do kid-free errands, etc.  It's going to be SO strange next week with no one here in the afternoons!!

Well I have a few things to share today-- the first is a card combining TCPTUES171 (Christmas inspiration) and TCPTUES172 (challenge to use felt).  BIG BEAR was my go-to stamp set for these challenges and for my felt accents, I handcut a cute little santa hat, as well as a mound of snow.   I used buttons and colors from the inspiration images and I have to say, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  Although be warned.... do NOT try to sew over glue dots.  Not good on your sewing machine!  Oops!!

Before I go to bed, I just wanted to share some pictures I took of my kids earlier this week that I am SO excited about.  I had some canvases that I had bought on groupon that I needed to get used before they expired, so I made a little set and took them to the park to play.  We made a little canopy tent under the tree and had fun.  Each of the full sizes of the kid images are being made into canvases... and the one of all of them will probably be one eventually as well.  I just LOVE how the colors came out!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to be "seeing" and talking to get caught up with everyone soon!

Release day is here!! So hopefully you've been acquiring your wish lists along the way (or maybe even have won something on Facebook!!)   For my card today, I wanted to make another bug card with the adorable Bugabee set!  Rather than a ladybug, I used the bee stamps and I made a glittery winged bee.  Now I'll be honest and tell you all that I wasn't exactly sure what to do with the wings... then I saw some of the other gals use vellum for the wings and I absolutely LOVED it.  I took a little different approach and flipped the wings around to use them as though they were flying sideways... and of course a little glitter never hurts!  All of the bug sections were cut out using the Bugabee Bug Dies... which made it really easy to make a super fast card!

I'm absolutely in LOVE with the Bugabee Flower Dies.  They are going to make such cute layered accents on cards!  I distressed mine a little bit and turned up the tips.

I also used the grass border with some olive card stock and all the papers are from JilleBean Soup!

Before I go, here are links to the rest of the Baker's Dozen!!!
