All ready...

Tuesday, December 20, 2011

5 days until Christmas and things are ready to go...well with the exception of a midnight "building" project for Christmas Eve.  I'm cleaning out my stamp room and reorganizing for the New Year... so to test out my clean new space, I went ahead and worked on a Valentine Day card to start my creative flow for the next season!  Just wait until you see the TE release for next month!  This new paper came in the mail this week which is the LOVE ME stack from MME!  ADORABLE!!

I used the stamp set - S.W.A.K.  with the cute little penguin from the Apple Doodle Ink line.

I also bought the wonky rectangle dies from Spellbinders and the Grommet Tags from Spellbinders-- both are going to see some major use!

Well I better go back to some baking and finishing up the Christmas packing to go to each house... Happy Holidays to you and your family and if I'm not back sooner, I'll be back in the New Year - January 2nd with sneak peeks for TE!!

My little Ballerina...

Friday, December 9, 2011

Hey all!! So is everyone done with their Christmas shopping?!? HA!! I'm glad that I did some early, because I feel the last minute scramble is going to attack me again this year.  I still have NO CLUE what my 8 year old is going to get... the things on his "list" are not happening-- I mean seriously child... you are not getting your own laptop at EIGHT!! Oh well... what's a Christmas without the frantic last minute wrestling over the final toy on the shelf at Target!  (Um, NOT that I'VE ever been known to do that! - ah-hem... really!)

I made a card today--- FOR REAL... I did!! My own little ballerina has two upcoming performances for her class (she dresses like a reindeer for one and in a princess tiara for her other one)--- so I thought this would be super cute for her....even though she can't really read at 4! :)

I used MOKA MORGANA at Taylored Expressions and the paper is the AWESOME new October Afternoon Sidewalks.  I want to wallpaper a room with the gorgeous papers in that pack!

Nothing too complicated on the card... I used the large scallop border Taylored Die and a little bit of antique edges with a sponge dauber.
All three kids have their school Christmas program tonight... so I'm sure there will be an evening of entertainment ahead!! Here's a quick picture from last night of my princess Gabby in her new skirt from Etsy that she's going to wear for the concert.  SO CUTE!!
I took a 5 hour photoshop mentoring class yesterday, so I'm having some major fun using my new editing skills to work on pictures!! Love how this one turned out!!

Hope you are all staying warm and toasty and are doing better than me with getting ready for the holidays... I haven't even baked a single cookie yet... YIKES!

  • More projects from the Baker's Dozen to inspire you.  Just follow the link list below.
  • PETITE-A-PALOOZA SPECIAL:  Purchase any 6 Petite Stamp Sets (new or old) through Friday December 9th and receive a Petite Storage Case absolutely FREE!
Release Day is here... and we have more fun inspiration with these fabulous new petite sets this month.  One thing I forgot to mention yesterday was that with all of these petite sets, you need someplace to store them, so I was CRAZY excited when Taylor told us that we had new Petite Storage Boxes this month which hold up to 6 petite sets inside!  YAY for organization!! (And just in time for that New Years Resolution that rears it's head every year to get more organized!!)   You can find those here: Petite Storage Box

I made a couple of fun projects for release day... the first is using the Moka Nora set that I mentioned on Monday, which features one of the new Card Kits--- Times & Seasons Card Kit:
I used some liquid pearls in opal to add some texture and a fun look to her fur trimmed dress and I colored the rest with copics.

The next project today is another calendar page that I made for my new painted Calendar Stand.  I used the SNOWFLAKE Wreath and stamped and cut it out with the Wreath Die.  I used some Taylor's Tiny Twinkles to add some "berries" to the wreath and I handcut the stamped ribbon.

Here are links to the Baker's Dozen to see more fun projects!!
