TE TULIPS!!

Friday, March 16, 2012

Hey all!! Well I've been busy, busy with photography work this month... if you aren't following me on Facebook, you may wonder if I drop off the face of the earth, I promise I'm here... follow me @WildPhotographybyTori on FB if you want to stay up to date!!   Anyway... on the stamp-y related fun... my cousin and I had a fabulous girls day today and I made the CUTEST card... if I do say so myself!!

I used the SPRING TULIPS stamp set from Taylored Expressions... which even though I don't use flowers a lot in my designs, tulips are my all, ALL time favorite.  My real ones are starting to peek out right now with the 70 and 80 degree weather we've been getting... so that makes me love them even more!! An early sign of spring... in MID-MARCH (for Iowa, that's a miracle!!)

I used a paper pack from CRATE PAPER and added a tulip embellishment using the TIPTOE THROUGH THE TULIPS die!  The die includes 5 dies and two sizes of tulips... this is the small size that you see here.

Everything was colored with copics and I added a little baker's twine for that last touch after I wonky-sewed the edges.  (Is wonky-sew an official sewing term by the way?!?!)

Thanks for dropping by to see if I was still alive... :)  And yes, I very much am... just very, very busy!!

Welcome to the official release day at Taylored Expressions!! For my final project, I'm using the same set from yesterday, LUCKY A LA CARTE, but with a slightly different twist... colored in and popped out on white.  I used the woodgrain impression plate to add some texture to the paper (which is Doodlebug Colorwheel).  I added a few buttons and some fun ribbon and twine and I hand-drew the faux-stitching on the Frame It Up die.
